The World Boxing Association (WBA) mourns the loss of fighter Emiliano Fabricio Priotti, who was dead on Wednesday in an apartment in Barrio Porteño de Saavedra, in Argentina, on Tuesday.

The fighter, who was only 22 years old, stood out both in amateur and professional boxing, where he was undefeated in his still early career.

Although there is no official version of what happened, everything indicates that Priotti would have committed suicide after having been alone in the room where his roommates found him.

The pioneer organization regrets the loss of a talented boxer who always showed discipline in the ring, while calling to work more for the mental health of athletes, a topic that has become a priority for the organization and which was the focus of the last WBA convention.
