Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua will step into the ring for a second fight between the two on August 20, according to a statement made on Sunday. The fight, which will have at stake the World Boxing Association (WBA) Heavyweight Championship, the IBF belt and the WBO belt, will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Usyk comes at a very important and significant moment in his life and career. He defeated Joshua last September 25 to win all three belts. He subsequently enlisted to defend Ukraine from the Russian invasion in a clear demonstration of love for his country.

However, he received permission to return to training and will now make the defense of his crowns against the Brit in a highly anticipated fight.

The 35-year-old southpaw took a unanimous decision in the first fight, which was made in Tottenham and after showing that dominance he wants to repeat on neutral ground.

Joshua, 32, feels he could have done more in that first fight and that’s why he took the direct rematch. With a significant physical advantage, he intends to take advantage of it and tip the scales this time. He has been working hard to correct mistakes and change history.

Usyk comes into the fight undefeated with 19 wins and 13 knockouts. Joshua has 24 wins, 2 losses and 22 knockouts.
