Luke Boyd defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) Oceania super bantamweight title with a victory over Shamal Ram Anuj on Wednesday at the Nissan Arena in Nathan, Queensland, Australia.

The home fighter scored a fourth round technical knockout to make the first defense of his championship, which he won against Jon Jon Jet in November 2019.

The 35-year-old Australian was too much for his Fijian native challenger and the punishment he dished out served him well to end the fight by the fourth round and maintain his undefeated career after returning from a period of inactivity.

It was the tenth knockout in ten appearances for the Sydney native. For his part, Ram Anuj left his record at 9 wins, 2 losses and 7 knockouts.
