The boxing world is looking forward to the fight between Dmitry Bivol and Saul Alvarez on May 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Russian champion will defend his WBA light heavyweight title against the Mexican and although the betting is divided, he feels very confident for the fight.

It has been said that “Canelo” has been training with sparring partners of higher categories in an obvious attempt to adapt to the division, a situation that does not worry Bivol.

Canelo can spar against aliens and that doesn’t change anything. I’ve done it with cruiserweights and heavyweights too. It doesn’t really matter in the least, in the end it’s just sparring. I will go out there to give it my all and I will win,” assured the Kyrgyzstan native.

He assured that his skills back him up and he is confident to win, beyond what the best pound-for-pound fighter of the moment can bring on the night of May 7.

“I will try to give my best to make a good fight. I will try to win and I am confident in all my skills to make it a great fight for everyone out there,” he continued.

Bivol is a very technical fighter with great accuracy who physically outmatches Alvarez. It means one of the biggest tests for Canelo and he wants to keep his black and gold crown despite facing the best fighter of the moment.
