The World Boxing Association (WBA) has always contributed with boxing around the world and made an effort in places where there are fewer opportunities. Therefore, the pioneer organization made a donation of sports equipment in the municipality of San Onofre, in Sucre, Colombia.

Colombian boxing has had great glories in its history and has good fighters who stand out around the world. The WBA has closely watched the work being done in this country and has tried to help as much as possible so that boxing continues to grow.

The local promoter, Alberto Agámez, was in charge of delivering the equipment to the municipal of the municipality in a discreet but very significant act.

“San Onofre was a national and international power in this discipline and the WBA  has not forgotten that several world champions were born in San Onofre and many participated in the Olympic Games representing Colombia,” Agámez told the local newspaper El Universal.

The WBA hopes that these tools will be useful for local trainers and athletes, who make an effort to improve every day and help the youth of this great country.
