The Triller Company announced the fight between Teofimo Lopez, World Boxing Association (WBA) Lightweight Super Champion, and George Kambosos will take place on October 4 at the Hulu Theater, Madison Square Garden, in New York City.

The WBC, IBF and WBO belts will also be at stake in a very interesting duel between two strong fighters with great boxing.

Both were scheduled to step into the ring last June 19 but the champion’s positive result to Covid 19 forced to postpone the fight until further notice. Now, the promoter has announced that Monday, October 4 will be the unusual day when both will step into the ring.

Lopez defeated Vasyl Lomachenko last October to become the current 135-pound star. The younger and less experienced Teofimo dominated the Ukrainian, who was considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of the moment.

On that occasion he won the WBA super champion’s crown, which he will defend next month for the first time. He is only 23 years old and will also put his other belts on the line.

He will face 28-year-old Australian Kambosos, who comes into the bout after defeating veteran Lee Selby. He has a good boxing, a respectable power and a long career that makes him worthy of facing the best of the moment.

Both Lopez and Kambosos are undefeated. In the case of Teofimo, he has 16 wins and 12 knockouts, while Kambosos Jr. has 19 wins and 10 knockouts.
