Jessica McCaskill and Cecilia Braekhus met at the last press conference before their fight this Saturday for the WBA WBC, WBO and IBF Welterweight titles, in Dallas, Texas.

The rematch generates many expectations and both have been exchanging words for months. In the first fight, McCaskill defeated Braekhus by decision and became the 147-pound champion. Since then, she has been struggling with different comments from the fans and her opponent, but she wants to make it clear that her win was not a coincidence.

“I’ve always had to work to get where I am and I’m ready to solidify my victory. It wasn’t an accident. Saturday will be easy, I come from more complicated places. It will be Cecilia’s last fight,” a confident McCaskill assured the media.

Cecilia lost her titles, her undefeated record and a great streak in her last fight against McCaskill. But the “First Lady of Boxing” has already left that behind and is only thinking about getting the victory that will give her back everything that belonged to her.

“It’s a very different situation. I just want the belts back. McCaskill has kept me very motivated in my training. But she got lucky last time. I’ll do anything, I’m a better boxer than her,” said the Norwegian of Colombian origin.

On Friday they will step on the scales and on Saturday they will be ready to fight in the event organized by Matchroom Boxing, which will have three WBA title bouts.

McCaskill has a record of 9 wins, 2 losses, and 3 KOs, while Cecilia has 36 wins, 1 loss, and 9 KOs.
