James Tennyson dominated his World Boxing Association (WBA) Lightweight elimination fight against Josh O’Reilly on Friday at Wembley Arena in London, England.

The Briton got a TKO victory in the first round to show that he is one of the boxers to consider at 135 pounds. Tennyson’s power and speed were too much for the Canadian boxer, who had little chance and had his undefeated record broken in the English capital.

Tennyson’s victory brings him closer to the shot title opportunity he has been looking forward to and gives him the necessary media interest in a division that boasts several of the biggest stars in boxing today.

The 27-year-old boxer now has a record of 28 wins, 3 losses, and 24 KOs, while O’Reilly left his record at 16 wins, 1 loss, and 6 KOs.
