They declared and delivered. At the virtual press conference both Katie Taylor and Delfine Persoon promised a great fight, and it was.

The Olympic medalist representing Ireland, Katie Taylor, took the victory by unanimous decision at the Matchroom Fight Camp in Brentwood, UK, and maintains the absolute World Boxing Association 135-pound reign.

A separate recognition goes to the Belgian boxer, Persoon, who maintained the offensive intensity from start to finish, focused on trying to take the breath away from a Taylor who sought to put out the fire of the constant siege by maintaining her fighting distance to impose with greater clarity a much more technical boxing where the use of her legs was a great key.

Undoubtedly, these two boxers have already made it into the great book of history with the two spectacular fights they have performed; the first match was in 2019. Katie Taylor remains undefeated with 16 wins, including 6 KOs, while the Belgian boxer Delfine Persoon has 44 wins and 3 setbacks.
