World Boxing Association (WBA) super fly champion, Kal Yafai arrived in Texas last weekend for his title defense against Nicaraguan Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez on February 29th at The Ford Center At The Star in Frisco.

Yafai made his training in England and wants to adapt to the climate change, and to the time difference, so he arrived about two weeks in advanced to U.S. soil for a fight in which he does not want to give any advantage to the veteran challenger.

This is Yafai’s sixth defense, this time against the Central American, who has been champion in four different divisions (minimum, minifly, fly and super fly) and, at the age of 32, wants to regain the belt in the 115-pound class, where he has already reigned.

The British is working on the last details during these days and intends to get into the ring in the best possible condition for a hard fight for the black and gold belt of the pioneer organism.
