The World Boxing Association (WBA) is honored to commemorate the International Day of the Sports Journalist, as it is 95 years since the signing of the charter of the International Association of the Sports Press (AIPS), which was held in 1924.

The oldest governing body in the history of boxing sends its congratulations to all sports journalists in their field. Boxing has always occupied a very important place in the sports press and to show that, we must remember that the signing of the act of the AIPS was carried out in a boxing ring, in the Sporting Club de France, in an act of enormous symbolism.

The WBA thanks all those great professionals who have worked hand in hand with our sanctioning body over the years and sends them best wishes, in addition to recognizing their work, without which this sport would not occupy the place it has in the history of humanity.
