The president of the WBA, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, was present at the 94th Annual Dinner of the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) Awards, which was held this weekend in New York.

The activity took place in the famous Copacabana Times Square club, which has hosted this prestigious dinner for many years.

Mendoza shared with the family of American and world boxing, which was highlighted by his meeting with Joseph Santoliquito, the president of the Boxing Writers Association of America.

He also met with champions of yesterday and today, including Bernard Hopkins, Claressa Shields, Regis Prograis, Oleksandr Usyk, and his WBO counterpart, Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel.
