2018 has already started and little by little the boxing activity begins. In January, the World Boxing Association (WBA) will sanction two world title fights on January 27 at The Forum in Inglewood, highlighting the return of Lucas “La Máquina” Matthysse (38-4, 35KO).

The Argentine boxer will fight against the Thai Tewa Kiram (38-0, 28KO) in what is expected to be a big fight for the WBA Welterweight title. That same day, Venezuelan Jorge Linares (43-3, 27KO) will defend his WBA Lightweight Title against Filipino Mercito Gesta (31-1-2, 17KO).

Both fights are very interesting for the fans due to the boxers involved. This is how the WBA world action begins in 2018, which is a year that promises to have great fights such as Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez Vs Gennady Golovkin II.
