The President, the Executive Committee, and all the World Boxing Association family regret the death of Mr. Rafael García, recognized cutman and a historic man for Boxing.

García, who died at the age of 88, was in Floyd Mayweather’s team since 2001. Undoubtedly, he was a specialist on treating cuts, and worked with about 40 world champions. Besides, he was also known for his knowledge in training.

Today the world of Boxing is sad, because a man who lived with passion this great sport left us. A man who won the immortality for working with passion.

May he rest in peace.
