The Norwegian Cecilia Braekhus and the Argentine Erica Farías hit the scales at 147 and 146.2 pounds respectively. They are now ready to fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight title on Friday night in the city of Bergen.

Braekhus, who also owns the World Boxing Organization, World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation belts, will defend for the nineteenth time her WBA belt. In addition, she holds an immaculate record of 30 victories with 8 knockouts. This makes her, without a doubt, the best exponent of female boxing.

However, her rival is Farias, who has already proved her success in world championships. First, she was WBC Lightweight Champion, a title that she exposed 8 times. Then, in 2014, she was crowned Champion at 140 pounds and made 3 defenses. Now, with a great record of 24 wins, one defeat, and 10 knockouts, she assumes what she has named as the biggest challenge of her career.

After the weigh-in ceremony, they only have to wait until Friday night, when in Bergen, Norway, Braekhus and Farias will fight for the honor and glory of being a World Boxing Association Champion.
