WBA World light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer (47-2, 36 KOs), from Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, was scheduled to defend his title against unbeaten Tommy Oosthuizen (25-0-2, 14 KOs), from Boksburg, Gauteng, South Africa, at Salle des Étoiles in Monte Carlo, Monaco, on November 7.

Unfortunately, due to a hand injury suffered while training, the fight has been postponed.

According to Braehmer’s trainer, Karsten Rower, “It is unfortunately not possible that Juergen box on November 7. We have tried everything and consulted different doctors, but he cannot fight until he is healthy again.”

Promoter Kalle Sauerland is as disappointed as the rest of us.

“Juergen is professional through and through,” he said. “His ambition and his passion for boxing are indescribable. He wants to make some big fights, but he will be even better after his recovery.

“We are working to find a new date for the event.”
