Japan stands as the second nation wth greater presence in the rankings of the World Boxing Association fighters with 19 rated boxers, after the United States that is leading the ranking with 38 present boxers.

Great Britain and Mexico share third place with 17 rated boxers, followed by 13 Thais, 12 Dominicans and 11 Russians.

United States has nine champions, two of them interim. Japan has three champions; the British have Scott Quigg, King of the 122-pound division and interim Chris Eubanks Jr at 160 pounds. Mexico has the 112 lbs unified champion, Juan Francisco Estrada and two interim champions, 115 lbs David Sánchez and 130 lbs Emanuel López.

Thailand (interim 105 lbs), Dominican Republic (super champion 118 lbs) and Russia (champions 200 lbs, 175 lbs, and interim 168 lbs) provide five champions.

Latin presence
Latin American countries that stand in the WBA March ranking are Puerto Rico, with eight fighters.

Panamá and Colombia have seven including the 135 lbs champion Darleys Pérez and 122 lbs interim champion Oscar Escandón.

Venezuela (118 lbs interim champion) and Canadá have six rated boxers. Peru has five and Nicaragua 4.

Cuba, has Guillermo Rigondeaux as the leade and three rated boxers like Ecuador.

Argentina has two, one of the is the 112 champion Juan Carlos Reveco, and Costa Rica has the 126 lbs second rated boxer Bryan “Tiquito” Vásquez as the only representative.

Jamaican, Nicholas Walters, is the 126 lbs champion, same division with the only Peruvian with a title, Carlos Zambrano interim featherweight champion.
