Niyomtrong retained his WBA belt against Landero.

Thammanoon Niyomtrong defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) Minimumweight Championship for the fourth time this Tuesday. The Thai dominated the Filipino Toto Landero by unanimous decision in Chonburi to remain as the champion of the division for the body.

Niyomtrong, who is also known as Knockout CP Freshmart, won 119-109, 117-111 and 115-113 on the scorecards, in another dominant victory for his record.

The Filipino punished his rival throughout the fight with curved blows and although he didn’t manage to make him fall, he showed a clear superiority during the fight.

The champion left his record at 17 victories, no defeats and 7 knockouts, while Landero now has a record of 10 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws and 2 knockouts.
