Tyson Lucas Fury born August 12, 1988 in Manchester, England. He defended British and Irish colors as an amateur. Became ABA champion in 2008.
Debuted in professional boxing in December 2008, in 2010 won the British heavyweight championship and in 2011 he also won the crown of the Commonwealth. In 2014 he defeated Dereck Chisora to conquer the European belt.
Just became the new unified heavyweight champion after defeating Ucranian Wladimir Klistschko , who was defending for the 18th consecutive time, last November 28, 2015.
Fury is now the cateory super champion in the WBA and champion of the IBF, WBO and IBO.
He wil make his first rematch defense against Wladimir Klitshcko, next July 9th, 2016.
It was agreed that as part of the heavyweight category tournament, the winner of the match must fight the winner of the combat between interim champion Luis Ortiz Vs Alexander Ustinov. (date)

As a result, Tyson Fury is hereby named as the WBA's next mandatory defense for Klitschko |

On November 28, 2015, Official Contender Tyson Fury defeat the long standing Heavyweight Champion, Wladimir Klitshko, via unanimus decision, in Dusseldorf, Germany. The parties expect a rematch on or before June 2016. The winner, or Fury if a draw, must face the winner of Ortiz v. Ustinov bout referenced below on or before September 30, 2016. The winner of that bout, must face the winner of the Chagaev/Browne/Oquendo bouts referenced below in January, 2017. |
