1934: (Slapsie) Maxie Rosenbloom D 15 Joe Knight, Miami. Retains World Light Heavyweight Title.

1943: Jake LaMotta W 10 Sugar Ray Robinson, Detroit. After 40-straight pro victories, and an 85-0 amateur record, Robinson suffers his first defeat.

Beau Jack W 10 Fritzie Zivic, NYC.

1967: Dick Tiger W 15 Jose Torres, NYC. Retains World Light Heavyweight Title. All three judges score the fight 8-7 in rounds. Two for Tiger, and one for Torres.

1972: Antonio Gomez KO 7 Raul Martinez, Maracay. Retains WBA Featherweight Title.

1977: Sugar Ray Leonard W 6 Luis Vega, Baltimore. Leonard’s pro debut.

1988: Marlin Starling W 12 Fujio Ozaki, Atlantic City. Retains WBA Welterweight Title.

1999: Antonio Cermeno KO 2 Eddie Saenz, Miami. Retains WBA Featherweight Title.
