Rossel and Bopp are ready to defend their beltsThis weekend the Peruvian Alberto “chiquito” Rossel and the Argentinean Yésica “La Tuti” Bopp will defend their World Boxing Association belts.

The first fights will be Rossel vs. the Panamanian Walter Tello for the interim light flyweight title in El Callao, Peru.  The official weigh-in will take place on Friday; however the champion assures that he is only aiming to retain his belt.

“I am aware that each opponent is complicated but I trust our training and the way we have planned it to achieve our goal, and make my Peruvian fans happy.” Said Russel to the press.

The fight will take place at the Miguel Grau Coliseum, with the Argentinean Romina Arroyo as the referee; and Gustavo Jarquín, Roberto Ramírez Sr, and Rafael Carabaño scoring the fight.

In Argentina, the regular Light Flyweight champion “La Tuti” Bopp is ready for the next defense, this time against the Venezuelan, Carolina “La Fiera” Álvarez.

Bopp reigns in that division and is undefeated in 23 fights. She is a very solid champion since 2009, the southerner says she is ready to face the challenger, expecting a complicated fight, but hopes to win without problem.

Este fin de semana el peruano Alberto “Chiquito” Rossel y la argentina Yesica “La Tuti” Bopp buscarán retener su cinturón que los acredita como campeones de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo.

El primero de los pleitos se escenificará en la ciudad de El Callao, donde Rossel enfrentará al panameño Walter Tello por el cinturón interino del peso minimosca. Este viernes se cumplirá con el pesaje oficial, pero el monarca asegura que su único objetivo es retener la faja.

“Soy consciente que cada rival que viene es complicado, pero confío en la gran preparación que estamos haciendo tal y conforme lo hemos planeado hasta el momento para conseguir el éxito y brindarle otra gran satisfacción a la afición peruana”, dijo recientemente Rossel a la prensa de su país.

El pleito se cumplirá este sábado en el Coliseo Miguel Grau, con la argentina Romina Arroyo como árbitro, mientras que Gustavo Jarquín, Roberto Ramírez Sr, y Rafael Carabaño serán los encargados de los puntos.

En Argentina, la campeona regular del peso minimosca, “La Tuti” Bopp está listapara su nueva defensa del título, esta vez ante la venezolana Carolina “La Fiera” Álvarez.

Bopp reina en la división y está invicta con 23 triunfos. Sólida como monarca desdeel año 2009, la sureña dice estar lista para recibir a la retadora y comentó a la prensa que espera una pelea complicada, exigente pero ante todo salir airosa del desafío.
