Russia’s Vadim Tukov took a major step forward in his international career with an impressive performance that earned him the prestigious black-and-gold belt. The undefeated fighter scored a convincing unanimous decision victory over Argentina’s Sebastian Papeschi to claim the WBA Gold Super Middleweight Championship in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
From the opening bell, Tukov imposed his rhythm and game plan. Displaying disciplined boxing, excellent distance management, and a sharp jab, the unbeaten Russian gradually broke down Papeschi’s resistance. Although the Argentine showcased the toughness and determination that have become his trademarks, he was unable to find an answer to Tukov’s speed and accuracy throughout the twelve-round contest.
As the fight progressed, Tukov’s tactical superiority became increasingly apparent. He mixed body hooks and straight punches effectively, consistently landing the cleaner and more impactful shots while controlling the pace of the action.
By the time the final bell sounded, the outcome appeared clear. The judges rewarded Tukov’s dominant performance, securing a victory that not only adds a significant championship to his résumé but also places him firmly among the leading contenders in the division.
