Jose Angel Gabriel Rosa will fight German del Castillo this Saturday at the Luna Park Stadium, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The bout will be the first defense of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin super lightweight belt for Gabriel, who will have a good challenge against the Colombian.

Gabriel is a southpaw with good technique and respectable punching power who won the belt last March and two months later will step into the ring to defend it once again.

The 23-year-old wants to have international projection and this fight can help him in his goal. The La Rioja native has been a professional since 2021 and in two years he has managed to become regional monarch of both the WBA and the WBC, another title he will put on the line this weekend.

The Colombian youngster, del Castillo, already has experience outside his country and although he has not performed very well as a visitor, he will be looking to add his first victory outside his country. He will be making his first fight of 2023 and intends to surprise in Argentina.

Gabriel is undefeated with 20 wins and has knocked out 14 opponents. For his part, del Castillo has 11 wins, 3 setbacks, 2 draws and 8 knockouts.
