Takuma Inoue and Liborio Solis will step into the ring at the Ariake Arena in Koto Ku, Japan, to contest the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight belt this Saturday.

The black and gold belt is currently unowned because Naoya Inoue decided to move up in class and drop all of his 118-pound belts to fight in a new division.

The WBA championships committee called the two best positioned contenders available to fight and now Takuma Inoue and Liborio Solis will dispute the crown in a very interesting fight.

Inoue already has experience battling for world championships. Being at home is an advantage for the 27-year-old Japanese and he will try to take advantage of the situation to win the belt.

For his part, Solis is a 41-year-old veteran who reigned in the super flyweight division and has dyed great fights in Japan where he has defeated quality opponents. Since he moved up to bantamweight he has had the goal of being crowned but it has been elusive, so he does not want to miss this opportunity at this stage of his career.

Inoue comes in with 17 wins, 1 loss and 4 knockouts, while Solis has 35 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 16 knockouts.
