Super lightweight contenders Ohara Davies and Lewis Ritson will step into the ring on March 4 in Newcastle for a World Boxing Association (WBA) eliminator fight.

The Newcastle Arena will host the clash between two good fighters who want to fight for the world title and a victory would bring them closer to their goal.

Davies has a very interesting run and is knocking on the door of a world championship fight. He has won six fights in a row beating names like Tyrone McKenna or Miguel “El Títere” Vázquez. The only two losses of his career are to Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall, both former world champions.

For his part, Ritson has been on the rebound since his loss to Jeremiah Ponce in 2021. Since then he has won two fights, including his most recent against veteran Dejan Zlaticanin in March 2022.

It will be a very even fight with two fighters who know what is at stake. Davies has 24 wins, 2 losses and 17 knockouts, while Ritson has 23 wins, 2 setbacks and 13 knockouts.
