Flags waved accompanied by chants of pride and cheers welcomed the unified lightweight champion of the World Boxing Association, the Irish Katie Taylor, who gave her fans a new triumph. On this occasion she defeated Karen Carabajal from Argentina in ten rounds on Saturday.

Taylor continues to consolidate her figure in the sport and is a sporting reference for a whole country that accompanies each presentation in an emotional way.

He has been the protagonist of fights that will be remembered for generations. And the one on Saturday, October 29 will be added. Carabajal arrived with nothing to lose to face the world number one and managed to put in trouble in some passages of a great fight where she could have taken everything. But, once again, Taylor put in the ring the set of skills that have taken her to the top.

Carabajal maintained a smart fight plan by keeping the middle and long distance with good management of her punches. However, it was not enough in the face of the speed and quantity of Taylor’s punches who then appreciated her opponent’s performance.

With this new successful defense of the four belts, Taylor now has 22 victories and remains undefeated. On the other hand, Carabajal left a good impression, and broke her undefeated record to 19 wins and 1 loss.
