Katie Taylor is ready to return to the ring and defend her World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight championship against Argentina’s Karen Carabajal this Saturday at Wembley Arena.

The Irishwoman is coming off a possible fight of the year against Amanda Serrano on April 30. Taylor had a war against the Puerto Rican and emerged victorious in a fight with a lot of drama and exchanges that fascinated all the fans.

After a well-deserved rest, the champion will return to box in the United Kingdom in front of the people who support her and intends to keep the professional winning streak going. Taylor, 36, will also put her IBF, WBO and WBC crowns on the line.

Her opponent will be Carabajal, a fighter who has a big opportunity coming up in her career. The 32-year-old South American is undefeated and will be making her first fight outside Argentina, so the bout represents a huge challenge for her.

Taylor is undefeated in 21 fights, 6 wins by knockout, while Carabajal has 19 wins, no losses and 2 knockouts.
