Colombian Yuberjen Martinez scored a three round knockout victory over Yeison Hernandez on Friday night during his professional boxing debut.

The Elias Chegwin Coliseum in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, served as the stage for the long-awaited debut of the South American country’s former Olympic medalist.

Martinez looked well adapted to the professional style and with a good physique in the flyweight division. He faced an opponent with some experience and managed to beat him thanks to his strength and volume of punches.

Three straight lefts to the body and one to the face sent his Venezuelan opponent to the canvas, who heard the referee’s count and could not recover from the knockdown.

It was the first professional victory for Yuberjen, who begins his path in this new stage and hopes to be as successful as he was in the amateur arena.
