This Saturday will be a great fight at the Leeds United FC Banqueting Suite, Elland Road, in Leeds, when Jack Bateson and Diego Alberto Ruiz will step into the ring to dispute the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight intercontinental title. 

It will be a good opportunity for two fighters on the rise who are looking to take a step forward and get into the elite of the division. The regional championship contest will be a big step for whoever manages to win the fight. 

Bateson, a Leeds native, is an undefeated 28-year-old who has just joined the ranks of the Probellum company. The Brit is a technically sound and intelligent boxer who knows how to use his tools to get wins. 

For his part, the Argentinean Ruiz knows what it is like to face this type of challenge as a visitor. He recently drew against Lee McGregor in London giving a great fight and that is why he has earned this opportunity, which if he takes it would be a great step in his career. 

Bateson has 16 wins, no losses and 4 knockouts, while Ruiz has 23 wins, 4 losses and 12 knockouts.
