Cayman Islands prepares for international competitions

The Cayman Islands Boxing Association (CIBA) is gradually sending its athletes abroad so they can prepare for different international competitions, due to the restrictions on gyms in their country due to COVID-19.

Boxer Hepseba Angel was one of the first to leave for a training base in Ireland, where she will prepare for the Commonwealth Games.

In a press release sent by CIBA they stated that the intention is that the boxers can arrive at the best level for the competitions to come. They also stated that Angel will compete in the Strandzha Cup which is held every year in Bulgaria and will take place this February.

In this way Cayman Islands seeks to prepare in the best way to face a year 2022 full of challenges.
