American George Acosta won the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedecentro Super Featherweight Championship by defeating Puerto Rican Gadwin Rosa by unanimous decision on Friday night at the Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee, Florida.

The judges’ scorecards were 96-94, 97-93 and 98-92 for Acosta, who was superior in the entertaining main fight of the boxing card organized by All Star Boxing.

The event was an opportunity to pay tribute to the recently deceased promoter Felix “Tuto” Zabala, who was one of the most relevant promoters of the last decades and helped many fighters to fulfill their dreams.

Acosta, 24, won the regional belt and now aims to continue moving up and get bigger opportunities in the future.

His record is 12 wins, 1 loss, and 1 KO. For his part, the Puerto Rican left his record at 11 wins, 2 losses, and 9 KOs.
