There is only 48 hours to go until Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Hugo “El Cuatito” Ruiz entre the ring. Both fighters gave a preview for the press before their fight this Saturday in the arena of Carson’s Dignity Health Sports Park, California.

Davis and Ruiz visited the Churchill Boxing Club of Santa Monica to hold a media exhibition as part of their pre-fight agenda for the WBA’s 130-pound super championship.

There was much expectation for the training of Hugo “El Cuatito” Ruiz, who is replacing Abner Mares who suffered a detached retina and was forced to withdraw from the fight.

The other part of the audience wanted to see how Gervonta Davis looked, who returns to action after a ten month absence from the ring, with his his last victory being against the Argentine native Jesus Cuellar.

The training session was not extensive, but it was just enough to measure the condition of both fighters.

Ruiz did stretch work, shadow boxed, and did some pad work, making it clear that he is coming to fight.

Davis went light, not using the gloves, but showed good movement in his legs and hands, showing that he is a natural and carries very heavy hands.

This evening the face-to-face will take place at the final press conference and tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. (local time) both fighters will head to the scales.

The Davis-Ruiz match will come to the homes of the world fans via a promotion by TGB Promotions (Tom Brown) and the transmission of Showtime (USA) and Televisa (Mexico).
