Josesito Lopez is a fighter who is always willing to fight the best, and when he gets into the ring his only intention is to win. He has a huge test in front of him in the return of the Super Champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), Keith Thurman, who returns this Saturday to defend his crown at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Lopez is a native of California but his family is from Mexico, which is why he has the style of the great gladiators of that country. He has never been daunted by the possibility of fighting with the big names in the multiple divisions in which he has fought – as evidenced by the challenge he took on in Thurman, one of the most impressive fighters in recent times.

Victor Ortiz, Saul Alvarez, Marcos Maidana, and Jessie Vargas are some of the elite fighters that Lopez has faced. That experience will be, in his own words, one of the main weapons that will allow him to succeed this weekend.

After a loss against Andre Berto in 2015, a fight in which the WBA belt was at stake, Lopez has collected three consecutive victories, in a recovery run that brought him to this great fight against Thurman.

Lopez’s record is 36 wins, 7 losses, and 19 knockouts. He has a multitude of experience and a second chance before him – which he plans to take advantage of it.
