World champions Vasyl Lomachenko (11-1, 9KO’s) and Jose Pedraza (25-1, 12 KO’s) heated up their match at a press conference held in “The Big Apple” in the historic arena of Madison Square Garden in New York.

Lomachenko, current WBA super lightweight champion, will be the favorite in the match but as usual he was very brief in his speech to the fans and the press.

“I come from recovering from an injury and in that time my hunger has grown. This fight will increase my legacy, it’s about fighting with the best and continuing to look for challenges,” said Lomachenko.

“I want other goals but right now I’m focused on Pedraza. We have had a good camp and on Saturday they will see it,” said the Ukrainian.

Who knows what the night of December 8th will hold in store for Pedraza but with the support of his family and his fans he hopes to achieve the victory.

“When I snatched the WBO title from Ray Beltran we already knew that the next one would be Lomachenko. We have not lost the focus and the preparation has been strong,” said Pedraza.

“We know what he is capable of and what is difficult to overcome. We work for it and for what will happen in the fight,” said the Puerto Rican.

“Hi-Tech” and “Sniper” will see action at an evening promoted by Top Rank and televised by ESPN for the United States.
