Saturday night at Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, WBA World female welterweight champion Cecilia “The First Lady” Braekhus (27-0, 7 KOs), who also holds the WBC, WBO and IBF titles, puts it all on the line when she meets Chris Namus (21-3, 8 KOs), aka El Bombón Asesino, over a scheduled 10 rounds.

Braekhus, from Bergen, Norway, by way of Cartagena, Colombia, is a nine-year pro. She won the vacant WBA World welterweight title in 2009 by defeating Vinni Skovgaard and has successfully defended her title 15 times.

Namus, from Montevideo, Uruguay, is an eight-year pro. In her two previous attempts at a title, in 2011 and 2012 for the WBO super lightweight belt, she came up short. But “El Bombón Asesino” has won her last five fights and looks to hand “The First Lady” her first loss.
