Former Filipino featherweight WBA super world champion, Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. (33-3, 21 KOs) will move down to the 122-lbs division, where he held the WBO world title before being defeated by the super bantamweight Cuban champion Guillermo Rigondeaux in April 2013. Donaire would return to the ring on March 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines before Brazilian William Prado (22-4, 15 Ko’s).

Donaire lost the WBA featherweight super championship on October 18, 2014 when he was defeated by TKO 6 by the Jamaican Nicholas Walters at the Stub Hub Center of Carson, California.
