Talking with the legend JC Chavez he recalled how his professional debut was on February 5, 1980 in the Parque Revolucion of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

“In my first professional fight in 1980 in Culiacan, Sinaloa honestly did not feel good in the ring, I felt like death itself, I got tired very easily and there was a moment that I was so exhausted by the pressure and experience that I thought, I will not fight anymore but fought for six rounds and fortunately my opponent quit in that sixth round and I won the fight. I think I would have quit myself because I felt so indescribably exhausted that I the only thing in my head was to win and get out of there and never fight again. I will always remember that night, I wanted to fall down; with all due respect, to flee the ring. But I think that fate had something prepared for me and we could succeed, otherwise I could not have accomplish what I conquered and live what I still live today”, said Chavez.

“With time I learned quickly that training was everything, running in the morning, training in the afternoon and trying to be better every time I’m sure if it had come at the end as at the beginning hardly have lost a fight”, ended Chavez.
