California Boxing Commission, appointed Lou Moret as the referee of the World Boxing Association lightweight 135 lbs interim title fight that Colombian Darleys Pérez will defend against Peruvian Challenger Jonathan Maicelo.

The fight will be tonight at the Chumash Casino, Santa Ynez, California.

Moret will have the support of the Californian judges Barry Druxman, Zachary Young and Tom Taylor. The WBA supervisor will be Doctor Calvin Inalsingh (T&T).
The fight will be the second defense of the Crown held by Colombian Perez (31-1, 20 KO) in June 2013. This is Maicelo’s (21-1, 12 KO) first opportunity for the black and gold belt.

“The most important this is to be ready with clear mind and fight”, said Perez who also said “I never disregard a boxer as good as this one” said before stating he will be victorious.

On his part, Maicelo said to the press during the weighing held on Thursday “I have nothing against him, this is only is a fight where the world title that has always been my dream, said the boxer who is considered “all-terrain” fighter.
During the weigh in, the Colombian champion marked 133,75 lbs while the challenger marked 135 lbs.
