The Peruvian Laura Lecca will defend her World Boxing Association super flyweight 115 lbs interim championship against the Mexican Guadalupe Martinez, on August 23 in Lima.

Lecca told the press that she expected a hard fight for this first defense of the interim belt she won on May 31, 2014. This will be his third professional bout before an Aztec opponent.

“Mexican fighters are strong fighters, so I have no doubt the fight will be more demanding than when I won the title. I have not rest since I defeated the Brazilian Da Silva and we will do everything to defend the belt that was hard to win”.

The Peruvian fighter said that she is satisfied with her work, despite the sacrifices, and she expects to “continue to giving joys to Peru”
