Referee Romina Arroyo receives recognition in his country

The WBA referee Romina Arroyo received recognition in the city of Salta, Argentina where he serves as a Counselor.
In recent days, Arroyo received a plaque in recognition as outstanding citizen of the city of Salta, for her sports work in and outside her country.

The Saltan referee is the first Argentinean woman to direct world title fights and up to date she has refereed 14 title fights.

As she stated to the city press, she said she was happy with the recognition. “My work path as referee has not been easy, boxing is a sport that is practiced and consumed by men mostly. Salta fans have always been my supporters that have always supported me on what was crazy for many.”

Now, as Counselor, among her many responsibilities, she supports the growth and development of local boxing schools because of its importance in the formation of young people.
Congratulations Romina on behalf of your WBA family.
