Australian Anthony Mundine won the World Boxing Association 154-pound International title on Wednesday after defeating American Shane Mosley in Allphanes Arena Olympic Park, Sidney.

Mosley could not answer the seven’s round bell, and Mundine was declared the winner, improving his record to 45-5 with 27 KO’s.

The two-time world champion Mundine, currently ranked in the 10th position of the super welter division, requested to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. after the fight.

Meanwhile, fellow former champion, Shane Mosley said he will retire to the United States to rest with his family and decide their future. He left his professional record with 47-09-1, 39 KO’s.
