WBA Press. October 25.- The World Boxing Association deeply regrets the death of Emanuel Steward, the former trainer of many world champions, and immortal figure of the  Hall of Fame.

The health problems suffered by Steward, in recent years, caused his early death Chicago.

He trained figures like Oscar de la Hoya, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Mike McCallum, Oliver McCall, Cornelius Bundrage, Julio Cesar Chavez, Wilfredo Benitez, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko who regreted Steaward pass away.

Steward founded the Kronk Gym, that became a launch platform for boxing stars, like Tommy Hearns.

“The news of the death of Steward leaves a sadness and emptiness in the boxing world.” He lived with passion to give the best of him. I was fortunate to see him on his best training career moments He only cared to guide young people along a correct path,” said Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, Vice President of the WBA.

During the 91st WBA Annual Convention in Indonesia, we will pay tribute to this great figure.

AMB lamenta el fallecimiento de Emanuel  Steward

Prensa AMB. 25 de octubre.- La Asociación Mundial de Boxeo lamenta profundamente el fallecimiento del ex entrenador Emanuel  Steward, figura inmortal del Salón de la Fama y de la carrera de muchos campeones mundiales.

Los problemas de salud sufridos por Steward, en los últimos tiempos, provocó la temprana muerte de Stewart ocurrida en la ciudad de Chicago.

Fue entrenador de peleadores como Oscar de la Hoya, Evander Holyfield, Michael Moorer, Mike McCallum, Oliver McCall, Cornelius Bundrage, Julio Cesar Chavez, Wilfredo Benitez, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko quien en un comunicado lamentó la pérdida de Steward.

Steward fue el fundador del Kronk Gym, que resultó una verdadera plataforma para lanzar al estrellato a varios boxeadores destacando Tommy Hearns.

“La noticia del fallecimiento de Steward deja una tristeza y vacío en el mundo pugilístico. Vivió con pasión para brindar lo mejor de sí. Tuve la fortuna de verlo durante lo mejor de su carrera como entrenador. Solo le importaba guiar a jóvenes por un camino correcto”, dijo Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, Vice presidente de la AMB.

Durante la Convención 91 de la AMB, en Indonesia, se realizará un homenaje en su nombre.
