Panama, June 5th , 2009 – After the facts finding hearing on the cancellation of Chagaev v. Valuev II held in Helsinki, Finland last May 30th, 2009 various parties requested additional time to submit more information and materials related to this case thus extending the timeline for next June 8, 2009, at 5 pm (-5 GMT)

The WBA Medical Committee has ask for advice from Hepatitis B specialists around the world seeking for the most accurate diagnose on the blood test results presented by Finland Boxing Professional Federation in the above mentioned hearing.   

Consequently we shall -once again- apologize with media, boxers and fans for not being able to issue a resolution in a timely manner but the new information must be analyzed in order to provide a fair decision for all parties involved in this situation.
