WBA congratulates Juan Carlos Reveco for his perseverance and dedicationWBA press. February 28. The family of the World Boxing Association wishes to express public congratulations to flyweight champion, Juan Carlos Reveco, who outpointed to Masayuki Kuroda.

Reveco has overcome every obstacles on his way, they have not weakened him thiugh, and his perseverance and dedication to boxing has allowed him to become a WBA champion.

“Champions like Reveco should be rewarded for his perseverance and dedication, but beyond his excellent technique in the ring we appreciate his loyalty to the WBA”, said Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, WBA Vice President.

Reveco, known as “Coton”, holds the black and gold championship belt for the second time. He won the title for the first time from Nethra Sasiprapa by KO 8, on June 22, 2007. In his second defese, Brahim Asloum defeated him on December 8, 2007 in France.

On August 15, 2009, he defeated Francisco Rosas by split decision in Mexico, to win the 108 lbs. interim championship belt, that later defended against Armando Torres in 2010.

Reveco moved up to the Flyweight division and fouhgt for the interim title against Jean Piero Pérez and defeated him by KO in 2 rounds.  In 2012, he made 2 title defenses.

At present he is the regular WBA flyweight champion, and has a record of 30 wins with one defeat.

La familia de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo desea expresar una felicitación pública para el campeón mosca, Juan Carlos Reveco, quien superó por decisión a Masayuki Kuroda.

Reveco, durante los últimos años, ha superado obstáculos que lo han puesto a prueba, pero no ha doblegado y su constancia junto a su dedicación al boxeo le permitieron convertirse en un campeón de la AMB.

“Campeones como Reveco deben ser premiados por su perseverancia y dedicación, pero más allá de su excelsa técnica y oficio en el ring agradecemos la lealtad con la AMB”, dijo Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, vicepresidente del ente mundial.

Conocido como “Cotón” Reveco ostenta por segunda vez un cinturón negro y oro de la AMB, tras haber sido campeón regular de la categoría minimosca que ganó el 22 de junio de 2007, cuando venció a Nethra Sasiprapa, por nocaut en el octavo round.

En su segunda defensa topó con Brahim Asloum, ante quien perdió por decisión el 8 de diciembre de 2007, en Francia.

El 15 de agosto de 2009 venció por decisión dividida, en México, a Francisco Rosas para capturar la faja interina de las 108 libras, la cual defendió positivamente ante Armando Torres en 2010.

Reveco subió de categoría y el 10 de junio de 2011 peleó el cinto interino del peso mosca, ante Jean Piero Pérez a quien noqueó en el segundo asalto. Hizo dos defensas durante el año 2012.

Es el actual campeón regular de las 112 libras de la AMB, y 30 peleas ganadas con una derrota.
