The World Boxing Association has clarified that is it never sanctioned the fight between Luis Valdez and Rodolfo Garay, who have been announced as the boxers fighting for the WBA Continental Americas bantamweight on July 16 The Forum in Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. 

It was announced that Valdez and Garay would fight for the title as part on an eight fight event at the venue.
