Panama-based Haitian prospect Evens Pierre (14-1, 11 KOs) has been struck by tragedy just six days after winning the WBA lightweight Fedecentro title with a convincing win over Augusto Pinillla on July 2. Pierre’s mother was killed in a traffic accident in Haiti. Evens is scheduled to return to ring action on a card in Colon, Panama on July 31. WBA family joins in sending its condoleances to Evens Pierre.
