WBA Press. December 08.- Mikkel Kessler ended with Brian Magee before his audience in Denmark, to win the World Boxing Association super middleweight belt this Saturday.

Kessler won by TKO in the third round, after punishing harshly the former champion to send him a couple of times to the canvas in the second round.

Things were already clear to the host, who put an end to the combat in the third round when he forceful hit Magee in the middle zone sending him to the canvas. Luis Pabon, third man in the ring, stopped the fight.

The knockout was called at 24 seconds of the third round, in spite of Magee’s intention to continue.

Fortuna gets the interim belt
The Dominicano Javier Fortuna defeated the Irish Patrick Hyland by unanimous decision to become the new WBA Interim Featherweight champion.

Fortuna won the scorecards 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.

Gamboa won a very hard fight
Yuriorkis Gamboa overtook the strong Filipino fighter Michael Farenas, and kept the WBA interim super featherweight title tonight in Las Vegas.

Gamboa won by unanimous decision 117-109, 118-108 and 117-108
