The Purse Bid to grant he promotional rights for the Super Middleweight was held this morning  at the WBA office in Panama. The fight opened to bidding is between the Interim Champion Bryan Magee and the Hungarian Karoly Balzsay.

Gilberto Jesús Mendoza, WBA vice president directed the bidding. The bidding companies were Universum Box Promotion and Team Magee, who submitted their offers in sealed envelopes according to the WBA regulations.

The winning promotion was Team Magee with US$ 287,700.00.  The possible dates and sites for the fight are July 7 or 14 in Belfastk, northern Irelend or July 21 in Denmark.

Universum offered US$ 256,000.00

Team Magee ganó subasta Balzay-Magee

La Asociación Mundial de Boxeo realizó hoy lunes por la mañana, en sus oficinas ubicadas en la ciudad de Panamá, la subasta para el combate de campeonato mundial súper mediano (168 libras) entre el campeón interino Brian Magee y el húngaro Karoly Balzsay.

La subasta, que fue presidida por Gilberto Jesús mendoza, vice presidente de la AMB, tuvo como asistentes a la empresa Universum y al Equipo de Magee. Ante la presencia de los medios de comnicación, ambas partes entregaron sus sobres correspondiente a sus respectivas ofertas.

El ganador fue el Equipo de Magee con B/.287,700. Las posibles fechas y lugares para el combate son: 7 o 14 de julio en Belfast, Irlanda del Norte; o el 21 de julio en Dinamarca.

La empresa Universum ofertó B/.256,000.
