10,000+ were on hand at the Estadio Olimpico Neza 86 in Mexico City on Saturday night to see HG Boxing’s “4 Coronas” card featuring four world title fights. Most notably, Mexican Hugo “Cuatito” Ruiz won the WBA Interim bantamweight title with a technical majority decision over Nicaraguan Alvaro Perez.

The bout was stopped at the end of round nine due to head clashes. Scores were Russell Mora (U.S.) 87-83 to Ruiz, Pasquale Procopio (Canada) 86-84 to Ruiz and Carlos Sucre (Venezuela) 86-86. Referee Mark Nelson dieducted a point from Perez in the ninth round.
