Juan Carlos Reveco became the new WBA interim flyweight world champion by beating Jean Piero Perez by knockout in the second round on Friday night at the Estadio Vicente Polimeni, de Las Heras, Mendoza, Argentina. Reveco (27-1, 16 KOs) landed a sharp left hook to the liver sending Perez (18-4, 13 KOs) to his knees at 2:47 of the second round and referee Uriel Aguilera stopped the fight after the ten count. Reveco stated that he felt from the first round that his body shots hurt Pérez. “I felt I hurt him at the end of the first round and in the second round I hit him hard in the liver.”
